Default I have no boost at all

Hi,
Yesterday the boost stopped on my car all together, It is in vaccum on the gauge then when I accelerate it moves to 0 and won't go past. After about 10 mins it just started working again until last night when it stopped again.
Since then it hasn't worked at all.

I have checked the hoses around the turbo and can't see any cracks, I've read on here about the waste gateactuator arm coming of or something like that. Can anyone tell me where this is (with pics if pos) or does any ane have any other ideas?

probably worthwhile popping off the heatshield and checking the action of the actuator arm. Could be stuck open from seizure at the pivot.

I've been reading about this arm and the heatshield, is it the metal casing that goes down the back of the turbo?

Ok, I've managed to get at the arm a nit, that heat shield is a pain in the ****. It looks to be a bit rusty but does move if I give it a hard push. Should it move a lot more freely or does it need some force to push it?

it does require some force to move it.
Try disconnecting the actuator arm and move the wastegate flap by hand and feel if it moves freely and has a clear closed position.
if in doubt remove downpipe and you can see the wastegate flap.
I have some pics in my "view my scooby" section for reference.

OK, I've tried moving it without the actuator arm attached and it moves freely and I can hear (I think) the gate opening and closing but I still have no boost!

Any more ideas any body ?

first make absolutely shure their are no leaks between turbo and intake manifold. (check all piping going to intercooler and from IC to Manifold, also check IC itself).
then check exhaust headers and uppipe for leaks. (should be audible if their is no boost at all)
If all is well remove downpipe and check wastegate flap and its seating.
they can be damaged by hot gasses, and thus not closing enough anymore.

its worth checking all of your vacuum hoses too, i forgot to connect one up to my dump valve once and it wouldnt boost you could have a split one, also check your dump valve isnt stuck open.
