drinking oil
hi all need some help i have a 03 wrx
and in the last month i have had too fill it up with oil 3 times
anyone had similair problems ? are know what the problem is

I was
told that a bit of oil use was 'normal' on turbo cars after a bit the crank bearings failed. Now im not saying thats whats gonna happen but to be honest if it aint making any weird noises then only an in-depth engine check will reveal any probs and that cost

have you checked where u park for oil pactchs? is the coolent ok? do some investigation around the engine bay, look for leaks eg by the front crank seal, rear where the gearbox mates with the block, arund the oil filter, and around the heads/breather system

Rule of thumb is that if it uses more than 1ltr of oil per 1000 miles you have a problem, realistically you should use hardly any oil at all, but without knowing how much your putting in, its hard to say if you have a problem or not.
