Default A/C stopped working after removing ECU

What can I have broken?

I have removed today the ECU to install an ESL chip. That was at my work place, and this morning I arrived with the air con working normally.

After 6 hours I went to the car to remove the ECU and install the chip, cutted the J1 resistor and made all the ECU resets and everything. Now the air con is not working. I have checked the fuses related to the A/C and both are OK. How can I check if the relays are fine?

What can I have touched while installing?

the ecu turns a/c off briefly when putting accelerator to the floor this is done to allow engine the max available power.
if it was working fine before you opened the ecu i would say it is a problem with the chip you have fitted.

It is an ESL chip, it is widely known and I haven't seen any similar problem while searching for it. I will have to try to solder J1 resistor to check again, so I'm out of the doubt

I guess it can be simply that I ran out of gas at that exact moment... but is there any way to check where the system is failing?

Ok, so I fitted again the J1 resistor I did cut, turned the car on, and the A/C still not working. I haven't reseted the ECU after fitting the J1, but I don't know if it would be necessary to check this.

I have also checked the plug on top of the A/C compressor. It doesn't seem to receive any power, with the button either pressed or not.

So I have two choices. Blown up fuse, but I have checked the two marked as AC and they are fine. Is there any other one that could be related? (I don't have the users manual)

The second choice is low gas in the circuit. Is there any way I could check this?

Do you guys think of any other possibility?

bridge the contacts on the pressure switch if it cuts in your out of gas if it don't you got a bigger problem somewhere.

maybe a bent pin on the loom multi plug that connects to the ecu, do a search on here for the wiring pin outs and then check at the ecu end for the relvent wires easy mistake to make!

Thanks for the idea.

I have checked again the ECU for bend pins or broken cables. The pin and cable for the A/C switch is perfect.

Any one have that wiring diagram to see where that cable goes to check if the ECU is operating it correctly? I don't want to mess around with the ECU wiring loom...

I have also checked for ECU errors. Code 11111, so everything is fine with every sensor.

The main fuse on the engine bay is receiving power, as well as all the relays next to it. I don't know if this helps

Just to clarify, the compressor is not turning on. There is no sound of relays and the revs remains stable.

I think is going to be the pressure. Can any one please let me know where is the pressure switch so I can try to sort it and check if the compressor starts working?

I think it's on top of the cannister on the inner wing with the pipes going into it.

The low line goes into the radiator, and the high pressure goes inside the car, behind the glove box (LHD)
