Finding money for upgrads!
As above iv been finding it very hard to find more money for upgrads on my car with already having 2 other car's i have to pay for and a new house so...
I have a My98 uk 2000
I have a TD05 and the apex ecu ready in my garage.
I wanted to get some 540's and a new tmic or a front mount but it's just too hard to get the money together right now so will have to leave that till another time.
What could i get out of the car with what i already have after it being mapped?
The car already has a full decat and air filtter fitted.
Also will it be alot of money to have the car mapped again once i do get the 540's and intercooler?

To map an epexi is about £250 so x that figure by the number of times you will be installing new mods to the car.
Even when you install and induction kit and exhaust you should be considering a remap.
You may be better off waiting till you have all your bits and peices and get them all installed then mapped the once.

I wouldn't get it mapped till I out some larger injectors and an FMIC on. I think you have 380cc injectors in which case you'll struggle to get much beyond 280-290bhp with standard fuel pressure. I think you can get up to about 320bhp on 440's but a front mount will be needed to keep intake temps at bay at anything over 300bhp. 440's and a front mount should cost no more than £300 between them, save up for these mods then get it mapped imho.

As borat said. 440's on their own will be OK for the low 300's bhp, if you want more like high 300's then you're looking at 440's on an adjustable fuel regulator or 550's at least.
