So if the bugeye one is smaller, then it will fiit
Do you mean the whole assembly or just the pump?
Sure you can make it fit with a bit of pipe?
P.S. It wasn't me that said it would fit in the 1st place

the pump i sabout 1 inch shorter and about 2 inches in diamter and will not hold in place on the classic bracket assembly, also the wiring is of a plug in type on the bug eye and its of a screw/bolt type on the classic.
so,without butchering the bracket and sawing it to make it fit it wont fit,and even if i did get it to be held secure in place, its so much smaller dunno if its upto the job ????????

A Walbro is half the size of a std one, you could cable tie it to the bracket i'm sure, as long as it flows at least as much as your original one then why worry about the size, or is it size that really matters to you

well,im more of a girth man myself LOL
If it doesnt matter if its smaller then maybe i could "make" it fit, but it was a shock to see the new bugeye one then remove my classic on eand see a mahoosive one there thats all.
how can i tell if it flows the same etc tho, i``ll post a pic up later of them together

also, i put a small split the middle pipe (the one that has the screw type clip not the pliers one),as i was pulling it off the fuel pump mounting it teared, there doesnt seem to be any slack, which is annoying, time to get underneath and replace it i guess, bugger !!

Hmm,i`ll have a look and see how it fixes into place then with cable ties, just seems a bit doddgy, can imagine the petrol rottin the cable ties and plop goes the fuel pump into the tank.
did u use crimps etc to wire it up as the classic has the connectors on the pump/this one has a conector block connection
also,is the size a problem, why so small is it upto the job ?
cheers

it looks o.k cause i spent about 2 hrs making it fit !!!
if i had shown you the before pic ud of gone
it doesnt weigh much, the way i made the bracket fit should hold it,i used some crimps to join the wires together and put the rubber boot over the live connection then cable tied them secure.
