selling my classic soon so i removed the decat and stainless exhaust from the car last night and fitted the original subaru exhaust. started the car and it ran fine, turned it off and i got ticking from the boost solenoid for a few seconds. cant say ive ever noticed this before when i had the aftermarket pipe on. took for a run and then turned off the engine and it did the same again. is this a normal thing to hear or is something wrong ?? btw its a classic 1998

boost solenoid shouldnt click when engine is turned off. Possibility that it is the downpipe just cooling down

no its not that as it did it when shut off, still cold and when warmed up

To elimate it then just unplug the connection and see if it stops.

Mine did this from nearly new, and never had a problem with the car, just a quirk of the car.
