Hi where is the oil pump located on a 93 plate wrx thanks.

it's behind the front crank pulley, behind the timing belt cover.

Yep and hopefully just replacing the seal will fix it. I have a problem with mine where it has been off a few times and had a new seal/been reseated and it still leaks a little .

For what they cost while its off I would just replace a oil pump anyway...

thanks guys would this also make it leak on to the drivers side heat shild just below the rocker cover

Unsure, mine has always come down fairly straight and shows itself on the sump/plug.

probably a leak on the rocker cover if it's in that area

sounds like rocker cover gasket to me as well. when i test drove my classic scoob smell was awfull. shouldent be expensive.

rocker cover gaskets are £38 each side, OE parts

When you have the pump off,you need to make sure the rear cover is tight on the oil pump - the screws can work loose resulting in a Drop in oil pressure and can possibly cause damage to the bottom end if left.
