Hi all
I have just purchased my first subaru wrx and wow what a fantastic car! standard 1995 classic, nothing even tuned on it (which means i get to put my own mark on it)
First of all the car doesnt have a dump valve as the previous owner was told they mess the mixture up is this true or is it best to have a dump valve to deal with the pressure?
any feedback would be great!

i had a problem one time on a 1993 wrx where the vehicle was dumping too much out and the car kept on turning off when approaching red lights or anywhere, where it needed to stop. it was rectified by putting on a "turbo smart dual atmospheric dump valve".. it recirculates and dumps at the same time
its abit on the expensive side but well worth the money... about £240ish
but to be honest you wont know untill you put one on.

Leave standard one on. Silly noise. Silly way to spend £s. No mod required untill into really big power. You'll do more harm than good.
1) better brakes - later 4pot front calipers & good pads Ferodo / Pagid should be your 1st thought.
2) Down pipe - sensibly with sports cat and de cat centre section then remap will see very nice power/torque gains
30 Suspension - i did this last on my car as so many people do - wish I'd done it 1st - allows you to use the standard performace much more of the time - Very good thing to think about.
Enjoy it, but be smart and don't bend it :-)
