Good idea as the resonator does make quite a difference

Warning: Some aftermarket back boxes will foul the rear diffuser on 06STi.

I changed the resonated section only on my car and it does not make a whole lot of difference. Mine is the afterburner de-res centre (Straight pipe). There is a noticeable difference (slightly deeper rumble) but not that noticeable from inside the car.
As far as some backboxes clashing with the rear diffuser, I think it is only some Jap style boxes that clash because of the angled exit.
Chris.

It makes a great difference on the 06-07 cars cos the center resonator is huge!
