Default cutting out

everytime i come up to traffice lights or junctions etc, any place i have to slow down, the cars revs drop right down and the car cuts out. sometimes it just goes dead for a sec then revs go back up again. any ideas wat this could be? and how much it would cost to get fixed?

cheers

Logically I would start with an ECU reset just in case its learnt a duff setting, also remove your idle speed control valve and make sure its not clogged up with muck at all.

I seem to have the same prob as you on my 95. Since i got the car it idles at like 800 but when stopping it drops below 500 then recovers. Actually cut out today for the first time...

Make sure you post up if you find the problem, i'd like to know too!
