GAS SHOCK ORIGINAL
Hi all
Could anyone tell me what a gas shock original is and how much it costs to replace them?
Picking up a 95 WRX soon and apparently it needs a new gas shock.
Any ideas

Sounds like dampers to me.

are dampers the same as shock absorbers? as i have now ahd it confirmed that its the rear right hand shock absorber that needs changing.

Make sure you replace the pair of rears DAMPERS (so called, because they damp the spring rebound). If you don't do this the car may well feel unbalanced. Braking will be affected also..
