Default RUNNING OUT OF PETROL 1/4 TANK?

Hi all i'm showing 1/4 of a tank but car cuts out as soon as a put petrol in its fine, when i do full the tank it takes just under 60ltrs have i a dodge gauge or fuel pump any suggestions would be great

Get the fuelpump checked, or a dodgy fpr ?

guage has to be dodge as its a 60 ltr tank, If your putting just about 60 litres in then its empty. Could be the floats sticking or the sender has had it.

Cheers i've just got hold of the workshop disc so i'm gonna have at look to see if i could do it myself

You may find the contacts for the sender unit are a bit corroded. Spruce them up and ensure the earth is fine and that may fix it.
