Smoking from exhaust - Strange specific symtoms
Hi Everyone
My UK MY00 Turbo has just started to smoke. Strangely though the circumstances are quite specific. Let me explain.
When the car is started and warmed up while running no smoke is present. When I stop on level ground and let it idle, no smoke, if I park facing uphill, after 4-5 mins it begins to puff smoke. If I then pull onto level ground the smoking continues. If I park pointing downhill it begins to smoke as before but much less and more intermittent.
I have checked the oil level which is 25% above minimum.
The car has recently had a MAF and only a couple had the boost solenoid cleaned after a running problem.
The car runs nicely and delivers smooth power. It has covered 63K miles and has a PPP and full decat.
I can only assume oil has got into the breather system somewhere, if it has will it flush the oil out eventually?
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like turbo seal on the exhaust side - going by the description of the colour rather than the incline!. Grey smoke is non combusted oil, hence oil is getting into the exhaust post engine.
When I had grey smoke, it would happen if I blipped the throtle after a period of overrun in gear

Can I assume I will need a new/recon turbo. How long before it goes pear shaped and is it likely to damage anything else?
How much will a new one be and how much cheaper is a recon. where would be the best place to get one?
Its a UK Turbo MY00, a TD04 I think.
