Default How good is the OE knock sensor?

As above. Does it make any sense connecting the knocklink to the original knock sensor?

From what I have read in the past it can't be done. I thnk you will need a Bosch type Knock Sensor. IIRC they are around £100 new. They come up for on here every so often second hand though.

I am pretty sure it can be done, I am running with it now ;-) It's just that there is almost no readings and I just want to be sure that the OE sensor is catching everything.
