ecu chip scott t any good ?
hi iv a my94 wrx jap import still restricted with a 3 inch exhaust a large backbox and a k&n induction filter with cold feed pipe exiting at splitter what would be the best way to improve my motors performance i see scott t and andy forrest get a lot of cred on here just seen scott t on ebay with a plug and play chip is it really that simple also whats an esl chip is that better any help would be great guys as im new to all this thanx

I have an aftermarket chip in my sti2, it was overboosting a bit but sorted with a fcd. 2 other folk had scoobyecu chips and no probs at all. If you can afford it an apexi pfc is better (or any remappable ecu for that) as you can tailor it to your car.
Dunno if a chip will derestrict it (wouldn't have thought so). To do this just get a mechanical speedo convertor. They're cheap and easy to fit, converts your kph speedo to mph, no need for stickers and the clocks will read in miles aswell.

yea it say it derestricts they all say that im trying to keep costs down as her indoors dont quite see it as i do (money well spent) lol thanx for the advise though mate cheers
