just about to get out my car just and the check engine light came on, my revs were fluctuating from about 1k to about 3k really slowly i think the code is the throttle sensor,what is this ??

It's the black box on the throttle body, opposite end to the throttle cable linkage, It lets the Ecu know what position the throttle is at via a voltage signal. ~.4 volts closed & ~ .7 wide open Etc with a + or - .02 from memory without searching on here
