watever u do dont put it in ur car, my m8 had 1 in his 94 wrx, it blew his engine in 1 week, its mapped for very high octane jap fuel and the ignition/fuel map is very aggressive, stick with a standard z4 ecu, a scoobyecu chip or even better a apexi power fc
my mates' ran 289bhp (as far as i know standard tmic and standard injectors).
If he does keep the ecu run it on v power/99 ron and octane booster.
The ecu is just a chip (like esl) so would/should have been mapped for the car already.

So I'd be right in saying the the 'Mines' isn't necessarily an off the shelf chip/ecu, and if I look a more closely at his car for injector's etc (you have seen my other thread Andy) 313bhp could be acheived?

No idea Dan, Mines is a big enough company, but unless you can find the person that maps the chips the only way to know for sure is to download the binary and have a look at what they have changed. There has been some fairly scary stuff on some of the Jap maps I've seen. If his injectors are grey in colour they are the 380s, they will start to lean out on the standard map somewhere between 1.1 and 1.2bar at the top end.
