Default Z4 ecu

Hey guys,

since spending a small fortune at my local Scooby garage, ive become pretty pally with them and basically they let me try bits and bobs on the car.

so, im thinking about trying a Z4 ecu, I know its a simple swap for the existing ecu but how do I know its a Z4?

cheers all.

Boost Targets & Fuel-Cut Limits
WRX/STi Saloon ECU's 2C, U8, W6, W9 - As above, 11.47psi held to redline. Fuel-cut 14.57psi
WRX (1995/96) ECU Z4 - 12.71psi, dropping to 11.78psi @ 6600rpm. Fuel-cut 15.65psi

If you can borrow it check to see how hard your original ecu boosts compared to the z4 when i changed mine the car was a lot smoother through the revs.
If you do want a bit more power another option (more expensive though) is from www.polarperfromance.co.uk. they have 3 options of chipping your original ecu.

I've just put a Z4 ecu in my WRX and it certainly feels more powerful and smoother to drive! A big improvement!

It's very good stuff Claaarkio plus you now have the ability to wind the boost up slightly more safely

It is very different I feel, much smoother and hold on to your *** if you ever floor it in 1st gear as by the time the gear is nearly over it gives u a big shove of boost then kicks it hard into 2nd! lol

It'll say Z4 on the case in big letters. Or is this a trick question?
