Rear Wheel Bearing Housing removal Questions ??
My 98 Uk scoob.
Im wanting to replace the N/s rear wheel bearing.
With the rear caliper, Disc/Drum, Handbrake shoes, Abs Sensor & Driveshaft locking nut removed, There are 4 Bolts ( I think) that pass through the bearing assembly & secure into the casting that the suspension leg & Swaybars Etc fasten to.
If i remove these 4 bolts will i be able to pull the bearing housing away from the car leaving all the suspension Etc still attached to the casting that supports the suspension ???
Thanks
Dean

Yes, remove all the bolts holding the suspension arms to the rear hub and the hub will come off as one part, as long as you have removed the drive shaft retaining nut.

no you have to unbolt the housing that the bearing sits in by undoing the 2 bolts at the bottom of the strut, the really long bolt that runs along the bottom of the housing, and the small bolt below that that holds it to the trailing arm then pull the hub and it should slide off the driveshaft then it's all press work and be careful not to damage the new seals when putting them in and building it up and remember to use a speedy sleeve if it hasn't got one on already
