The stuff that your mate who works for subaru gets you on the cheap, that's what I did.
I think it may have been semi synthetic EP 80, but I'm not at all sure. Just ring your dealer; ours sell it to you by the Litre if you take your own bottle in. If you don't want to buy it off them just ring them and pretend you do and get em to tell you what oil it is.

Its a 75w90 you need.
Castrol Driveline is good on the old boxes, I've also used Millers CRX with no issues

How many litres needed for a complete change? Should be taking the gearbox out next weekend.
