Beat me to it ,
Morning David
When the engine was rebuilt by David I had the usual upgrades engine wise forged pistons, steel rods etc.The gearbox was a uk STI 7 ,6 speeder which I had totally rebuilt (by David)(a helix cut ppg might have been an option but I never thought of it at the time),the clutch and flywheel were replaced at the same time with the excedy and a lightened flywheel. In order to supprt the new turbo,I'm having a new induction pipe to suit, modified injectors which can flow upto 1100cc(the API injector),the fuelab pressure regulator and finally a remap.

As to cost for this little lot I would have a word with David it's not as scary as you would think.

The trick to 500+ is to cheat.
Sell your existing car(s).
Go to For Sale and there will be about 2 or 3 to choose from, done, working zero hassle barr the paying bit.
I am convinced this is the real way to a cheap deal.
Always surprises me how many cars are mapped to round numbers, ie 400/450 550 never 407 or 383 etc.
Anyway it is low down torque that counts.

Graham, I've tried that way before when I got my current car with all the bells and whistles but 6 months down the line i started having problems which resulted in ending up at API and having a total engine, gearbox rebuild and now the extras being done now.
I will now know that everything has been done exactly as I want it with David only a call away if there are any problems.
I know it's the stupid expensive way but I've got peace of mind.
I think when this is finished I will be happy with my 450/450 as this should still be a ridiculous drive for a car which will only ever be used as my daily driver
Anyway you've got to kick some butt over the next couple of days,If I manage to pop over you should see the wagon covered in pink API stickers
and the fat scruffy bloke shouting at his Phone, will be me.

Graham, that`s something that always puzzzles me is torque more important then?? i mean when you think about it, WRC cars are only around 300ish bhp, but there torque figures are HUGE.....so why all this need for BIG bhp then??? i always thought they were both as important as each other..
