Default Fuel Consumption?

Hey. When out for a run last night, approx 100 - 110 miles. My driving style is average, not too fast, not too slow.

Anyway, the car supped its way through £20 worth.

Got chipped ECU, is this correct, am I being paranoid, tight fisted?

93WRX BTW.

shell v power, and tesco 99 ron are both as good in my opinion (im not picky!)
Although i seem to think i get more mpg on tesco99, but maybe thats cause its a few pence cheaper.
@SNAP-ON..I was getting a lower mpg until i cleaned my maf with trusty brake cleaner and reset the ecu...
