Default temp sensor

i have seen some of the adaptor bungs that go above cylender 3, to allow a sensor/sender to screw into, but where would i get the sensor/sender from to measure the temp?

you cannot get the temp off an existing sensor as there is not one suitable or measuring the oil temp already.

Easiest way is to get the adaptor used as standard for the oil pressure switch which is screwed into the block above number 2, under the alternator..
breaker will have one.

As to sensor - are the gauges really cheap enough to get without sensors you can get some reasonable gauges cheap new with sensors.. but you should be able to use a universal temp sensor..

thanks, got the oil pressure sorted (sensor form a 94 wrx) and the adaptor to fit it into the block above number 2,

my try and find a temp sensor, just need to find a universal one now.

the gauges are the lamco white face ones, nice oem gauge that was a optional extra when new, so will be keeping everything looking nice and standard :-)

Gauges come with specific senders. There may be others that work with your Lamco one if you can't get a Lamco one, but you'll need to test it to find out. It's a lot of messing around tbh. Temp senders aren't universal, although there may be some that can be swapped around.

If you're buying the gauges second hand you want the senders and wiring to go with them. Otherwise they're worthless IMHO.
