Default Wing mirrors

How do you get the glass off em on aclassic without breaking the glass? Also is it possible to get the elecy motor in them the wrong way round? the passenger one doesn't do what the button is asking of it (direction) but the drivers one does.

Andy.

the glass is held on to the black plastic by 2 sticky pads. pour some boiling water over the glass, then prise off. the mirror motors look sided. check connections. but it could be it didn't work to start with. did you check?

Sorry about that my post wasnt too clear. When i put the switch to move the left mirror up=left down=right left=up and right=down, or something like that. However on the right mirror right=right left=left e.t.c. Thats what made me think that the motor was twisted by 90degrees. Either that or a monkeys been let loose on the wiring.

I wanted to get the whole glass and holder out to reveal the motor so i could see if it was in the wrong way.

Cheers
Andy.

Try adjusting the mirror so its flat by hand first. They might be pushed one way, as far as it can go, so its not calibrated with the motor, if you know what I mean.
