Default Hesitation + misfiring HELP!!!!

What can cause intermitant hesitation and misfiring under 3k rpm?? it randomly idles very rough too, the car is fine once the turbo kicks in but off boost its a nightmare to drive, BUT its only there when the car is warm and even then it goes n comes as it pleases, the car is 1993 WRX , any ideas???????

lambda sensor.. coil packs or plugs.. engine grounds need replacing / cleaning... could be one of many things and a case of trying lots to find the problem.

I'd add an engine ground from battery negative, examine the coil packs and plugs.. if still a problem then look at lambda sensor..

beyond that thinking out loud I would be looking at injector problem, faulty connector, or injector or oring leak.

it all started after a engine steam clean..

lol..

need to check all the connectors and dry and clean them then.. coil packs, crank and cam sensors mostlikely points to check..

Although surprized if it has been driven that it hasn't evaporated from the heat..

Unless you get something very hot I would imagine it is just damp in a connector.
