Default ways to minimise LAG

trying to get rid of lag as much as possible, i know u can reverse the manifold but what else can be done?

has only just been rebuilt so not used for anything yet but want to use on trackdays and street racing (legal of course)..spec is...

Closed deck block with oil sprayers under the pistons from a 1996 2Ltr STI Type RA V-Limited.
STI Heads with the solid lifters from the above engine.
New Crank with ACL Bearings
steel gaskets
Arias forged pistons (92.5mm dish)
Eagle forged rods and ARP bolts
Modified oil pump
MD321L turbo (heat wraped)
740cc injectors & adjustable aeromotive FPR with TSL parallel fuel line kit
Alloy rally radiator
Carl Davey inlet spacers & header tank insulators
Carl Davey fuel rail (still to be purchased)
FMIC with intelligent water injection system
Apexi power FC and commander
Apexi ACVR boost controller
300zx Twin Turbo (orange label) MAF
Apexi induction kit
Hybrid front mount intercooler and pipework, with space blanket heat shielding
HKS downpipe with twin neck (wrapped)
HKS style uppipe (wrapped)
HKS S/S exhaust and full decat and 5inch tail
Custom stainless steel unequal length headers (wrapped)
HKS Plugs
welbro 255 Fuel Pump
Mocal Oil cooler
brake stopper
Lightweight pulley set
Blue Silicone hose transplant

Urmmm there is prob other things engine wise but I cant remember tbh

Good Spec

get it properly mapped by one of the top tuners on here and lag wont be a problem for sure.

There are a lot of mappers that have worked with the Lateral 321 turbo and have had excellent results.....

You've already covered the basic by using a sensible turbo and lagging the pipework. You'll see minimal gain from this point in unless you're going to spend big on it.

Mapping will make the biggest difference from this point on.

im hoping that simon (jolly green) is going to be mapping it, this post is really cos me mates tkae the p155 saying that it wont work well and be laggy as hell

i bet it wont if simon has anything to do with it have you seen the results you got with Terryb's car with a similar spec.

you would be better off waiting for a real techie to answer that one - i have a little knowledge (often dangerous )
