Boost Problem?
Just bought my 1st scooby. A Impreza GL Turbo '93 Jap Import and i'm havin a problem with the boost. As soon as i hit 0.75 on the boost guage i get a large loss of power, the car still moves but you have to stop accelarating for a brief moment. The car is fitted with adjustable boost but i don't know what the exact problem is. I've been told the fuel pump was replaced a few months ago so i don't know if this is related. Can anyone help me? https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/ponder2.gif

I would check all of your turbo pipework, boost solenoid etc. .7 is around wastegate pressure I think so it sounds like something is not right with the connecting pipework. Check where the adjustable boost is plumbed in

Yeah it is a WRX sorry, just checked it out, it's registered as a GL on the V5 doc for some reason (prob some1 trying to get cheaper insurance). Don't know if it's a fuel problem as it's a sudden jerk rather than a slow decelaration. I'm going to get all the turbo pipework looked at for a start. Cheers so far guys

some where imported as GL as WRX weren't on the dvla database (i think).
WRX/STI saloons 2C, U8, W6, and W9 11.47psi held to redline fuel cut 14.57psi
WRX saloons (95/96) Z4 12.71psi dropping to 11.78psi@6600rpm fuel cut 15.65psi
Fuel cut is a sudden jerk that nearly puts your head through the windscreen.

Check the Boost Controller and associated pipework. It may be faulty or set too high. If it is fuel cut (sometime incorrectly called boost cut) I would guess that this is the problem.
Deffo don't just put up with it as it may damage the engine if it is left unrepaired. Be patient and I am sure someone on here can give a lot more help than me.
