Which cat you going from?

If its the first cat back your looking at around about 15-20 bhp but not sure
what torque you would gain, tbh don't think it will be that much for the torque.

I recently added a stainless centre section and backbox, leaving the cat in the downpipe and couldn't notice a massive difference, i think it was slightly smoother and was slightly more free reving, i would guess at a few extra BHP the decat downpipe was much better, this has free'd up more horse power, i wouldguess at 15bhp but will have to wait till it goes on the rollers to know for sure!!

if you get rid of the downpipe cat you will be looking roughly 30-40bhp from turbo back i think?

With removing both cats you should be thinking towards remapping as spool up will be effected so fueling will require altering. 30 Bhp is realistic

thanks! but as i know you can't remap a pre 1998, you've to change the ECU, not cheap change but worth, i know.

Optimistic I would say.

I fitted a Ninja Sports Cat, JR Panel filter, Magnex centre decat and oval backbox - 230bhp, increase of 15 on my MY00 UK Turbo.

Remap however liberated an extra 43bhp so a good result eventually, with no pissing about MOT time - passed MOT easily on its own (Ninja Sports cat).

I'll have mine on the rollers soon, it now has decat downpipe, Ninja centre and backbox and a panel filter. I was told by a garage on Monday it was pulling verywell for a 240ps car. if i got an extra 20BHP fomr these mods i would be happy!
