Default Help, I done something wrong while resetting the ecu, now my95wrx won't start?

I went about resetting the ecu as the speedo cabe was off as the scooby wouldn't rev over 4500rpm..

I got 2 extra error codes....

23 Mass Air Flow sensor....

24 Idle air control solenoid....

The car will not start since the error codes came up...

Can i reset the ecu by unplugging the battery and pulling the hand brake up.....help what can I do.....

have you disconnected the plugs under the dash afterwards.

Yes removing the battery terminals for a while also resets the ecu.

If it's a MAF fault the ECU probably learnt it's way around the problem. Resetting the ECU has wiped this learnt info and hence will not run.

Try disonnecting the MAF to see if it will start, but I advise a new or 2nd hand (good) MAF

I've disconnected the battery, wated for an hour or so and reconnected it and the car still won't start...

while I was cleaning out the cooling system and refilling it with coolant is it possible I got the MAF wet and this is causing the error, should the car still start even with the error, I don't see what the Idle air control soleniod error has got to do with the car not starting but please let me know if the 2 problems are related...

If I disconnect the maf should the car start...and does that mean my maf is Kaput

it's also -3 outside which probably isin't helping either....
