What do you mean turn, I thought they were a straight forward swop except for the oil feed pipe.

What year classic is it for? do you mean top entry?

Is it a straight swop for the early turbo's which were top entry? I think thats what turn means.

sorry , i mis-read his post lol

yeah, if its 98+ it will fit , if it's earlier then your best looking for a td05/16g top entry

it will still fit, you just need a 90degree bend made up for the inlet

If its a MY99 calssic it will fit straight on but will require a remap....I think IIRC you already have Andy F on standby....VF34 imho is a better turbo with better spool up but roughly the same power output as the TD05 16G...

Have you thought adout a VF35, better spool than a VF34, but less top ebd, might be better as the gearbox on your car will be the weak link.

Supposably over 320 lbft of Torque and 3rd gear could go. Of course there are always exceptions.

Spot on mate thats why I said exceptions, its' all down to the way its mapped and how its driven.

I didn't want to take the chance so have fitted an STI 5 box and Exedy Organic Clutch, much better ratios IMO.

If your after 320 then a VF35 might be better, has been shown to produce that power but will spool slightly quicker than a VF34 as it has a P15 housing instead of ther larger P18.

See this https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...xperience.html

Thats what inspired me to have mine done.

I'Ve got two VF35 in stock at APi that are £300 + VAT, if anyones waiting for one. Several other VF turbos of similar shape and size too. Probably not a VF34 - That's one that seems to elude us.

I've had a VF35 on my 98 WRX for a while now. Runs lovely, hits 1 bar by 3200 rpm (with a silicone inlet pipe)
