Increase of boost with no increase in output
Hi,
Had my 98 (phase 1.5) classic on the RR before xmas and acheived 261 bhp 231 torque. Very nice i thought for an 'zorst and filter. The wideband showed low 10's so plenty fuel left for extra boost i was informed. So, fitted my dawes and went back on Tues. We turned up the boost from 1.1 to under 1.25 (avoiding boost cut), dyno'd it again and it came out at 261.
Anyone got any ideas why its not producing any more power even though theres more air?
PS dawes device set at stock pressure is highly recommended, my torque curve is much earlier and longer now.

Was it running any more boost at the point at which it achieved max power (should be somewhere between 6000 and 6400rpm).
I presume the torque had increased?
*I*F* you were actually achieving higher load (airflow) with more boost then the ecu would be running less ignition timing aswell.

Hi,
Yeah with the dawes its at full boost from about 2.5k and was bolted to 1.2 bar all the way up. Maybe its just that the turbo is running out of steam so its tailing off at the top end? The torque has increased about 10 i think...
