Exclamation FLYWHEEL

Hello all just wondered if any one can help me i have an 02 scooby it needs a new flywheel they said its duel mass flywheel it was a modification when the car was new mine never had it fitted would i be able to fit a light weight flywheel?

If it's an sti you can buy a replacement lighter flywheel

Cumbrian Scoobs Forum - Version 8 lightweight flywheel

if it's a WRX then you can get an "exchange" lightened flywheel

As Cookie says (as does my post) it's the STi that has the dual mass flywheel.

for some reason when my chasis number was typed in a subaru it came up that my car never had this mod so i was advised to get it done the flywheel is £305 + vat to have it fitted they wanted over £900 any one know what i should do you seem to know your stuff. I had a new clutch fitted before christmas and ended up with clutch judder this is how it all started. Thanks to you all for being so helpful

yes they said this model had some trouble with clutch judder the garage i had it done at said give the clutch 500 miles to bed in and the judder should stop.

launch it mate, sorts the judder out.

Can get judder from not skimming a flywheel when changing the clutch

I was told it was due to not skimming the flywheel so i will give it a go see what happens cheers
