Ecutek remap will it do anything?
Has anyone had a completely standard MY99 classic remapped using Ecutek, and if so what was the result?
Seems like a good idea as I was told a remap would make it run better with improved mpg if it didn't give more power and it wouldn't arouse the insurance mans interest.

You'd have to declare it to the insurance company even if it didn't increase your power (which it would, although not by nearly as much as if you had other modifications done). On that basis I'd wait till you get at least exhaust modifications done before splashing out on a remap.
