Default STi8 replica bonnet scoop on a classic

Any issues with these in terms of air flow to the intercooler? I see there is a lip at the back on the inside, does this restrict the natural air flow onto the IC? I guess you also get more air as its considerably bigger than the original.

I've put one on mine and it seems to work fine.

but to be honest, I'm considering changing it back as I'm not 100% sure I like it...

Did you fit the STI bonnet undertray, as that will have a big effect on the airflow as it matches the size of the intercooler

I cut the back splitter off mine and it fits under the standard scoop just fine.

nice one, must admit im not to hot on the DIY,

i couldn't get the air splitter to sit that high/proud in the scoop, hence the rework.

I fitted an STi7 scoop to my MY99, I reckon it looks better than the 8.
I put a thread with pics, look at https://www.scoobynet.com/projects-4...highlight=sti8 in projects forum.
Lots of other info out there too.
