Default fault code 42 - idle switch?

what does this mean and will it have knocked my ecu back?

at a guess idle control valve on top of inlet manifold dose as the name sugests, may just need cleaning

Hi mate hold on it could be either Idle Switch or Circuit.. Get good advice

would this b likely to roll ecu back? recently had sum mapping work done and was running 16psi of boost, jsut had it on rr yesterday with 4 of my m8s cars and only ran 13.5psi of boost, was smoky, sent the co volumes off the scale and operater said car felt very unhappy, also over 5 runs made bhp figures ranging from 240 to 296, something is a miss!

i would get it set up properly and i would lower the boost are you using power commander if not i would advise it

had the mapping done by scoobyclinic so everything should of been set up correctly BUT???

Doesnt sound it if you have lost boost have you got an air leak...

not as far as i am aware, what would be best way 2 check 4 1?

or would a dirty air filter have similar effect?

well you would loss boost if you had an air leak and you could hear air leaking like a punctured tyre if you get me you might have a faulty boost valve..
