Default Air splitter for classics

Hi all, after your collective knowledge please

Trying to get hold of an air splitter kit for a TMIC late MY98 WRX model

The only ones i can find anywhere across the net appear to be for later models '02 onwards

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience of obtaining either a ready made version or making their own DIY version for this MY of car

Thanks in advance

Neil

Yes i think so, certainly mine sits square on in the engine bay as opposed to slanted which some of the earlier MY's do

If you could send me some pics via PM that would be good

Just as a matter of interest why do you want to get rid of it ?

lol - cheers for that tim

so you took the step of upgrading the whole TMIC to an STI version on your my99 then ?

I've also been recommended in making the change to an STI one - so are you saying that with an STI version you've found no need for the air splitter ? It's not gonna stop me getting one for my existing set up mind...

How was the install, any probs with having to re-do pipe work / mounting issues ?

And more importantly better performance/cooler temps ?

yes i upgraded about 5 to 6 months ago now

i think you do need an airsplitter with the sti8 intercooler just a much larger one, tbh i was surprised when i first saw the size of an sti8 intercooler compared to my origanl one, there's a substantial difference!

api impreza installed the intercooler, so no probs there,

me and my old man are currently in the prcoess of making a bespke air splitter and undertray for my current set up.
