Question WILL 98WAGON SHOCKS FIT A 93SALOON?

As the above title. Any clues?

Also fitted to my 93WRX I have 17inch rims with 215/45-17 tyres. Anyway the question is why do the front wheels foul on the trim beneath the wheel arch and how do I fix it?

Any ideas as to why the tyres foul when I hit a big bump in the road?

because you should be running 215/40/17.. not 215/45/17.. or 205/45/17 but the 215/40/17 has more choice in that size and slightly wider rubber is better.

Bugger. Thats a shame, they came with the car, still plenty of tread. How do you buy four brand new tyres without the missus noticing?

I have used 225/45/17 tyres on P1 rims without any fouling on the front arches etc.

Are you on standard springs?

Yes, standard original springs. What do you recommend? Wheels are the 17inch speedline's.

Sounds like your shocks have had it, if they are causing the tyres to rub on the inner plastic wheel arch (going over big bumps).

Oh. It did pass an MOT a couple of weeks back. Do shocks and springs just become sloppy as they get older?

Any suggestions on what to get if I need to replace? I don't wish to end up with a bone shaker.
