Hesitation around 2.5k to 3k MY00 UK Turbo
As title really,
Starts fine, Drive okay to around 2.5k then feels like it pulling back until 3k then I get the kick from the turbo. I have cleaned the Boost Solenoid this morning and I cant feel any difference which was a little annoying.
I unpluged my MAF sensor, the cars idle dropped to almost stalling then the revs picked back up and it was idling pretty much normal. Could this be the MAF becuase I was told that if the MAF was unplugged the engine should cutout. Was serviced in June last year with plugs etc so I would'nt think it was those.
Any suggestions please guys, really spoils an otherwise perfect Impreza
Thanks In Advance. Regards
Chris

How did you clean the boost solenoid?
Did you plug in the green plugs and hear it tapping before cleaning, leave it working during cleaning and notice any differance after?
Cleaned mine last week with great results before cleaning couldn't hear it tapping at all..... the solenoid was filled with oil which can happen when the engine oil is overfilled (must thank my local garage for that!)
After cleaning solenoid and connecting pipes, solenoid was tapping away and could be heard from the drivers seat!
