to fit a knock link and engine sensor to a my95 wrx?

was told to get one, but nw struggling to get it fitted by the person who told us to get it and realy need it on car asap after blowing it up in the first place. cost us too much to get the car back on the road and don't want to take any risks again.

bolt the sensor to the block..

run the sensor lead through the bulk head.. make up the connector and attach to the sensor..

mount the knock link..

connected ground and find a switched 12v to connect the red wire to..
plug in the sensor wires.. job done..

if the original knock sensor is broken on the new engine use the one from the old one.. the ecu needs to monitor engine knock.. the knock link is just a visual display for you.

brought a new knock sensor cause the old one wasn't returned to us, i think we fried it anyway. at the moment getting this on the engine is more important then having the kncok link fitted.

I expect you know.. but
the Oe knock sensor is below the inlet manifold on the block.. looking into the engine bay it goes righthand side to the rear of the inlet manifold from memory.. assuming you have an engine with no sensor.. you should be able to locate the plug on the loom and then the hole in bolts too..

As long as the OE sensor is plugged in and bolted to the block you shouldn't have a problem with it.
