unlikely to be the caliper on the disc unless you have some serious issues??

most probs the disc backing plate catching on the back of the disc?? or the low pad warning markers..............

Or if it is rubbing, check the Driveshaft nut is F tight and peened into the cutout into the shaft.

Definately caliper scraping the disc.

Pads are virtually new.

Sounds like a wheel hub has come apart abit, jack the car up and see if the wheel wobbles and the caliper stays still which means the nut on the end of the drive shaft has come loose? Check that the person who done the work didn't forget to put a split pin in?

Had exactly the same m8,jacked it up bearing had no play in checked the hub nut was tight.
Took the hub to bits found the drive flange was worn through the center of the bearing, harsh cornering had a click/crack noise and first ap on the stop pedal was low,Drive flange was moving in the bearing and the disc pushed pads back and rubbed the disc on caliper...

Just to update, had wheel bearing replaced and car still has same problem.

Apprantley I have a "warped" disc.

When the bearing was replaced, the car then had vibrations through the wheel when braking from over 40mph to 0. This vibration seems to be going away as the noise from the wheel is now like it was prior to being replaced.

The disc and pad are not in the best of nick with the disc looking like someone has had a grinder on it in 3 places.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know I need new discs what are the best options?
