wierd noise when I coast in gear?
Anyone else had this or know what it could be?
When releasing the accelerator pedal in any gear and coasting I'm getting a kind of metalic squelching sound which comes in surges.... that's the best way I can explain it really!
It only seems to happen once the engine is warm as I've never heard it cold?
doesn't seem to affect driving......
weird?
Anyone any ideas?
Cheers,
Plums.
P.S. classic Scooby GT 110000 kms

Cheers scoobertron!
I believe mine to be running on the original clutch..... so if it is the clutch causing the noise I wouldn't be to worried as this is a wear and tear part that needs to be changed at sometime anyway.....
My biggest fear is a problem with the gearbox or similar!
To be honest I usually drive around with my radio on and it's undetectable any other way,I heard it for the first time the other day radio off, now i'm constantly listening for it!
It may of always been there but just hidden by the sound of the radio!
cheers,
Plums.
