hi has any 1 got a vf28 and what sort of bhp are they running .. and what mods??

Im around 325bhp 310ftlb V5 STI Type R Kn filter Pump+reg upgrade, full H&S turbo back, ported turbo and headders and sti8 intercooler, Re map, I think thats it for the power side!

 

That was virtually the same spec of my P1 ad it made 320bhp/310lbft. The VF28 just seems to run out of puff around that sort of figure. But is a good turbo if you looking for around the 300bhp mark.

 

MY00, UK, Full Decat, VF28, Sti Panel Filter, Standard 440's and pump Pressure :

1st Run 309BHP/296lbft
2nd Run 321BHP/316lbft with intercooler water spray

 

340/340 on a sti engine with decat, standard topmount and filter
but was running 10% methnol

 

Harvey has had good results with one of these, i have one to fit just before a remap and hope for about 330/340 - and yes i know that is stretching it a bit but what the heck, it's the best i can afford at the moment.

 

They are quite capable of 350 bhp if you have a good one with ALL the supporting mods done properly. From memory, mine did 370 something and a few days later, after fitting an Ion turbo and remapping by Bob Rawle I did 417 bhp.

up rated fuel pump
full hks system
wide mouth decat
uprated up pipe
pipercross filter
scooby ecu by scooby clinic
and vf28 soon to be fitted and remapped

.. just had it polished up like chrome looks good ..lol

so with a bit of luck it will make about 310 bhp

the bad news is its a auto...doh!!

 

any 1 got a idea what sort of bhp this will make ....^^^^^ above..^^^

you guys got pretty high hp. are you guys running stock internals on your sti?

 

mines just a 94 WRX .

what about the boost pressure? to get 300+ what kind of boost does it need?

 

320BHP, MY00 UK, 1.3bar

 

mine was about 1.3 on the rollers, but can hit 1.5 on the road
