Default How to set Throttle Position Switch TPS ?

Got a feeling I've knocked the TPS on my car whilst shoe-horning an STI8 IC into my classic.

Can anyone advise how to set it up correctly?

Ta.

It's really tricky to set it spot on and you really need a Select monitor to ensure that the voltage reading is spot on. You can loosen the 2 screws and gently move it so that the car runs smoothly then best pop in to the nearest dealers and get them to adjust it correctly it won't take them more than about 5mins. Then mark it against the body so if you knock it again you know where to move it back to!

You can get the voltages from the scoob manuals, really easy to set up, check you have the idle switch made with throttle closed aswell.

To be honest, I just loosened the screws with the engine running and prodded the sensor till it ran at 800-900 ish.

Not too scientific but job done

Getting checked proper tomorrow though

I would imagine it's fine, by knocking it back you have made the idle contacts, the ecu will learn closed and wot voltages.
