subaru wrx sti type uk exhaust advice
Hi
i need some advice. Just bought a 2003 wrx sti type uk and it has a standard exhaust which doesnt give the proper subaru noise i expected. It hasnt got a prodrivre kit but would the prodrive exhaust give me this. Or any other exhaust?? also should i fit a dump valve
thanks for your time

if its just the burble your after you can't beat the tsl group n backbox.straight swop with the standard, great sound without the need for earplugs.the prodrive box is one of the nicest sounding boxes but most people dont think they are loud enough.
if your after more bhp you will be looking at a full system plus remaped ecu(lots and lots of options),but give the dumpvalve(vta) a miss...they sound good yes,but imho your scoob will run better with the standard setup

hey
thanks for getting back to me on the exhaust. How much do you want for it and what does the other part do to the car. WILL it be any quicker with these parts one and would it pass the mot with both on
thanks for your time

Yes it will be quicker
The centre de-resonated section gets rid of one of the silencers and along with the back box will restore a proper subaru sound to the car.
With these two parts and an air filter I got substantial gains in power over the base model
sounds like:
Looking for £150 for the two parts.

Hi, i'm new to this and got myself an STI Type UK '04 model back in July this year. I love the sound from the car but want to get it a bit more pronounced and maybe louder (but without becoming a boy racer with just loudness to my name!!). The flat 4 noise is the best you can get.
I share your concerns regarding MOT's etc. and thereofre picking an upgrade is hard.
Do you go for the Prodrive back section?, a system as suggested to you? or something from Scoobysport?
There must be more input out there to help newbies like me, and others like Nigel whose concerns i share?? - Please help us with your suggestions and experience.
