Default Full leather Recaros

I need to get my back seats out to get to the rear struts.

Before I attack them with a hammer (?), what advice should I take?

It's a 98/R 'classic'. I think I know a few bits about Imprezas - does that make it an MY98?

yup
mines a bugeye MY01, but probably the same procedure:
bottom cushion comes off first, two bolts holding wire loops down the front, then lift it up at the front and slide out. you then see 3 ( or is it 4) similar bolts and loops at the bottom of the backrest, once thse are out the backrest slides up to disengage hooks at the top. to reinstall reverse the procedure. When puttting the backrest on you need to push firmly back before sliding down, esier with a helper, one on each side.

Cheers bud.

I'm off to Bilstein UK next month to get my struts overhauled. I see loads of gumph on here about suspension knockin - I've been suffering too.

thanks for you help, I'll have a crack at it at the weekend. Maybe with the back seats out and some Millers OB in the tank, I'll notice a difference!!

Got any good tips for leaky sunroofs??

easy fix for your struts:............lift the gaiter and squirt a little wd40 on the piston shaft at the seal........

Yeap, I know, I know.

It's also got cruise control fitted. Previous owner had far too much money, I reckon.

If my struts stop sticking and I don't need the overhaul, I'll owe you a few quid!
