Really strong petrol smell
Latly there has baan a really bad smell of petrol through the car in the mornings on the way to work while sitting in traffic, only seems to do it if the engine is running and im sitting still... She's a my03 sti with no cats etc...
I have had a look around the engine and fuel pressure regulater and all seems ok...

Has 'she', lol, been remapped for the decat..? If not 'she'll' be running VERY rich on cold start.
It's probably just the colder (and therefore denser aired) mornings resulting in the fumes hanging around in the air. Is this your first 'winter' since the decat by any chance..?

Yes "she" 
has been remaped etc, i thought it was just exhaust fumes but when i stand at the back of the car it just smells like exhaust, but really strong petrol in the car... Weird, if i get in and drive off its fine, just if im sitting still i get high...

When i had this (modified FSE reg fitted) on MY01 WRX i had a v small split in the rubber hose fuel line as it entered the RH fuel rail. Could smell it in the engine bay before i found it. Replaced the hose and all was fine.
Might be worth checking all your fuel hoses just in case. As the air intake to the cabin is around this area, the smell just wafts in.
