Fuel Regulator Info Required ?
Afternoon all, I'm looking to fit a walbro fuel pump to support the mods getting fitted in the near future (decat, exhaust system, exhaust headers, TD/05 16G turbo and ecu remap) and will be looking to fit a more heavy duty fuel regulator to control the fueling. I'll probably be looking at Sard, SX or Aeromotive. Where's the best place to buy and whats recommended? Also what other fittings etc will be needed to fit the walbro/regulator.
Any recommendations and information would be appreciated.
Cheers
Grant

suggest you search on 'fuel regulator' for background chat about this. I have just fitted walbro pump to support re-map and can smell petrol on stopping car. Also fuel consumption increased by about 15%. Haveny got to the solution yet but fuel regulation might be in the frame.

Grant,
we stock the Fuelab FPR's which look nice in black if you're after something a little more discreet. They can be had on their own, or as a kit containing the adaptor to replace the OEM FPR and either hose or AN fittings for £240.00 inclusive. Braided hose, AN fittings and fuel rails also stocked if required

My walbro over powered my standard reg and hence it let too much fuel back to the tank ending up in a melted number 3 piston:
Hence why I now have parrallel rails with the flow reversed braided hoses and an SX regulator.

The only consensus seems to be that FSE ones are no good. Or at best unreliable. The other fancy looking ones (e.g. SX, Fuelab, Aeromotive) are a lot more money but don't seem to have any issues that I've heard of on here. I bought an Aeromotive from the US, pretty cheap, mainly because apart from here on Scoobynet, SX and Fuelab are big unknowns to me, whereas Aeromotive is known and trusted the world over. It's the -6 fittings that are the expensive bit btw.

I decided not to take any chances which is why I have gone all out with parallel rails, braided hoses, goodridge fittings and sx reg especially as I am running 740cc injectors and planning circa 550bhp instead of the circa 400 I am running now.
LOL ZAK I still havent sent my standard ones off to you for my £50 refund will I still get it considering its been a few months now??
