Default Newage sports cat options

I believe that the following options are available for me to 'sports cat' my 02 STI:

TSL Thundercat + new center pipe costing ~500
H&S D/P ~500

However, the H&S D/P isn't on the H&S webpage, so I can't confirm. Also, does it require a new center section ?

H&S do a sports cat cat-pipe, but I don't know if this can be married to a decat downpipe and still pass the MOT, without overboosting (a problem on the newage STIs with decat D/Ps IIRC)

I've a decat centre at the moment, and I've a map in just over 3 weeks, so need to get this quick....

Anyone know if H&S are open on Saturday mornings ?

I have the thundercat on my MY03 WRX, pi$$ed through the new MOT in May this year having had this on the car since 2003.
So very good, although i think there are cheaper ones around now surely?

Ian - If you know where I can get hold of a good prodrive one, let me know.....
I'd prefer open neck, but I don't think it'll be too much of an issue for my power requirements (maxing 340)

The Thundercat is now 'only' £400, but I'd need a classic decat centre at £100 too ( ) - though I suppose I could sell my de-resonated centre and de-cat 'cat pipe'.....

Mark, I bought a de-cat centre as well for my newage. But for you, is there not one knocking around the for-sale section? Or of course good old fleabay?

Madass, I've been keeping an eye on the for sale, suppose I might be able to get the classic centre off there at least... (pity the search on snet is so cr4p!)

Lee - Scoobyworld only do one for classics - they're getting a newage in, but not in my timescales - I'll take a look at revolution though,

Ta,

Could try James at GRD for a prodrive sports cat? Sure he has some at the mo?

H&S do a combined downpipe and cat-pipe with a single sports cat in the downpipe section. It passes an MoT without problem. They will do either a 3" end (the pipe is all 3") or a taper to a 2.5" if you want to keep the standard centre section. I bought one for my 02 STI early this year as part of a group buy, for about £450. I think the usual price is about £500, but I believe they are pretty much made to order, which is why they aren't in the catalogue.

Have you tried Graham Goode? I've got a GGR sports cat which IIRC was more like £300-£400? It's got me through two MOTs and not restricted the power I've been making, roughly 300bhp with a Power FC.
