Default Help, newage fmic questions

Right, bare with me as I need help!!

Looking at putting a fmic on the bugeye, mostly for looks (Flame away!) so if i were to put one on my bugeye, do i need to use a induction kit (at present its only got a full decat, with a VF34 or TDO4 hybrid and a remap early next year is it ok to drive it with a FMIC and which induction kit should I get?

Any help would be most helpful!

Thanks
S!

Yes, as the standard airbox is in the way of the route of the pipes to the intercooler.

What fits, depends on the intercooler you buy.

I have an APS DR725 and the Roger Clark cone filter fits ok. But I think that was a design requirement when they specced up the fiter.

Best to choose a FMIC and then see what other people have used filter wise.

I'm going the RCM route induction wise and have been advised NOT to fit it until the day of my remap by Bob Rawle.

Problem I have is, the scoobs my only means of transport so I would have preferred to have everything in place before I started the job!

I had an induction kit on the car before and it ran ok, so dont know why it shouldnt be ok to fun with a fmic, but I your advice is heeded!

Thanks
S!

I fitted my FMIC and then removed the upper part of the hard pipes so I could continue running with the top mount until it was mapped.

Depending on the design you could do the same and refoit the last bits just before.

Alternatively, learn to drive off boost with a bottle of octane booster in the tank.
