Default PPP Maf sensor different?

HI, recently had problems with a rough tick over and spluttering when accelerating. Anyway seems to be all good now after replacing the plugs HT leads and giving it an engine and injector cleaner flush.

I do however wish to replace the Maf sensor. The last owner had the car for 3 years and never replaced and it hasnt been replaced by myself so it probably hasnt been replaced before. The car is a uk 99 turbo with PPP. Now i have had alook around on the forum and the part number for maf off a my99/00 is 22794AA010 is this correct and would a maf differ from a standard uk then to one with PPP.

And....

I know the maf is down by the airbox (i think) but has anyone any photos of this so i have more of an idea.

Thanks loads in advance.

Dave.

Dave,

MAF was replaced around 1 year ago....

The MAF is near the induction kit intake pipe (Wires and plug sticking out)

I hope this helps.

You need a T20 secure torx to get it out or sanp the pins off and use a normal torx bit.

Thanks Richiewong,

I see that you are a real regular here on the forum. Can you or anyone else recommend where i can get the maf 22794AA010 at a reasonable price. Scoobyclinic want too much and most of the maf posts dont state where i can buy a maf.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Dave.

For an MY99/00 MAF its the correct part number you've got.
Same part for all UK and JDM cars, no difference.
They are notoriously weak on these cars, had 3 myself, and some replace them as service items every 12 months.

As mentioned take this part no to your dealer, should cost around £75~80 and 2 minutes to replace yourself.
Dealer will probably charge an arm and leg to do it

Eariler MY's MAF's cost around £250 mark.
